Douglas Walish - Chairperson - (D) 3rd District
Doug Walish was elected in 1998 and is serving his 3rd term as
county supervisor. He is a lifelong Woodbury County resident who takes
pride in representing the people of the county.
In addition to participating at board meetings each Tuesday, Doug serves
on a number of county appointed boards and committees. These include:
Board of Social Welfare, Courthouse Advisory Council, Courthouse and
Building Committee, Courthouse Security Committee, Law Library
Committee, Employee Policy Committee, Juvenile Detention Board, Sanitary
Landfill Committee, Zoning Board, Woodbury County Community Action
Agency Board of Directors, SIMPCO Board of Directors, Regional Planning
Affiliation Board, Region 12 Chairman - CEO Board, Workforce Investment
Act (WIA).
Doug resides in Sioux City and enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim
and daughter, Sarah.

Bob Batcheller - (R) 2nd District
Bob Batcheller was elected to the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors
for the term 1997 through 2000, and was recently re-elected to a 3rd term
in Nov. 2004.
Bob attended Sioux City Schools, Wentworth Military Academy (Four
Years), started Morningside college in 1962 and had to drop out due to
the untimely death of his father to run the family business. He returned
to Morningside and graduated in 1972. Bob attended the University of
South Dakota achieving his MBA in 1982 and has attended paralegal
classes so he can better understand lawyers and the Law.
He is the Chairman/CEO of Concrete Products Co. Bob is a Board
member of the Woodbury County Information & Communications Commission
(WCICC), SCDS, Woodbury Waste
Management Board, Criminal Justice Committee, and Jail Building
Committee.

George Boykin - (D) 1st District
George Boykin, a lifetime resident of Woodbury County, was elected to
the Woodbury County Board of Supervisor's in November of 1984 and has
been in office for seven terms. He has been married to Michele for 38
years, has three children, and four grand children. His primary focus
has been to represent all of the people of Woodbury County fairly and
objectively on every concern that is brought before the Board. Another
objective is to keep the County involved in prevention programs for
adults and youth in the many programs the county supports financially
and collaboratively with other governmental agencies.
His other interests with the County is conservation, preservation of
land, wildlife, outdoor recreation, and clean air and water. |

Larry Clausen - (D) 5th District
Larry Clausen, a lifetime resident of Woodbury County, was elected
to the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors in November 1981, and has
served seven terms. He is married to Dorothy, has three children, and
five grand children, who all live here in Woodbury County.
Larry's Primary Focus as a supervisor has been to hold the line on
county taxes. He was instrumental in the building of the Woodbury County
Law Enforcement Center that currently houses the Woodbury County Jail,
Sheriff's Administrative Offices, the Clerk of Courts, and court rooms.
During his service as a supervisor to Woodbury County, he has also been
instrumental in the purchase and implementation of the Trosper-Hoyt
Building, which houses the Woodbury County Juvenile Detention Center,
the "New" Department of Motor Vehicle Division, and State offices
consisting of the Department of Human Services, Juvenile Court Services,
and Juvenile/Family Court.

| Mark Monson - (D) 4th District
Mark Monson moved to Sgt. Bluff in 1972 and has lived there since.
Mark was elected to the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors in November
2004. He is a graduate of West Monona Schools in Onawa. Mark has spent
the past 35 years in education. He taught high school in Emerson
Nebraska for two years and was a Speech-Language Pathologist with the
Woodbury County Schools and later Western Hills AEA 12 serving schools
in and around Woodbury County. In the past 26 years he supervised a
number of special education programs through Western Hills.
Mark is married to Judy, a teacher in the Sgt. Bluff-Luton School
District. They have two grown children and one grand child. His primary
focus is economic development in the county. He serves on the Loess
Hills Alliance, Highway 20 taskforce, Siouxland Economic Development
Corporation, and a number of additional committees. Mark’s goal is long
range planning.
